Hotel accommodations
There is some sort of ANIME convention downtown the weekend of our wedding. We were told that things will book up quickly. SO PLEASE MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS ASAP!!!! Let us know if you are having trouble booking a place and we will be happy to help.
Here are our suggestions:
Hotel Figueroa: Somehow Moroccan AND Californian themed! Great pool and pool side bar. Atmospheric. Near L.A. LIVE (movie theater) and the Original Pantry, an LA Landmark. A couple stops on the metro to Union Station. You will find us hanging out there on Saturday sipping some cocktails near the pool.
$148 per night for 1-2 people.
$184 per night for 3-4 people.

Myako Inn hotel: In Little Tokyo. FarBar, a cool gastropub, right across the street. Lots of good sushi and noodle shops nearby. A walk to Union Station. Nice, spacious, and clean with Boba tea in the lobby. There is also a Spa.
Room rate: $109 15.5%tax for single or double occupancy.

The Standard Downtown: A pricier option. But there is a great rooftop bar/beergarden and you waive the ($20!!!) cover as a hotel guest. There is also a 24-hour diner in the lobby.
$200 per night for a Medium
$215 per night for a Large
$235 per night for a Huge
To make reservations, please do not go through their Sales Office but instead call the Hotel Reservations department at 866-670-8686 and ask for the Howard / McKean Wedding Room Block Rate.
The Stay on Main: A hostel in downtown! New and clean and in the middle of the action. If you are coming in a group you may be able to reserve a group room. As cheap as it gets!
$40 per night for a shared room with bunk beds
$69 per night (per room) for a private queen or twin room with shared bathrooms.
$89 per night (per room) for a private queen or private twin room with private baths.
